Step-by-Step Process for EPF Registration
The EPF registration process is now completely online through the Unified Shram Suvidha Portal (USSP).
Step 1: Visit the EPFO Website
Go to www.epfindia.gov.in and click on “Establishment Registration” under the “Employers” section.
Step 2: Redirect to Shram Suvidha Portal
You will be redirected to the Unified Shram Suvidha Portal (https://registration.shramsuvidha.gov.in).
Step 3: Sign Up / Log In
Register as an employer using basic details such as name, email and mobile number. Once verified, log in with your credentials.
Step 4: Fill Establishment Details
Select “Registration for EPFO” and fill in establishment information like:
- Legal name and PAN.
- Date of incorporation.
- Type of establishment (factory, LLP, company, etc.)
- Nature of business.
Step 5: Add Employee Details
Enter the total number of employees and salary details. Mention whether you already have a PF or ESIC code.
Step 6: Upload Documents

Step 7: Digital Signature Verification
Authenticate the registration form using the Digital Signature Certificate (DSC) of the employer.
Step 8: Allotment of Establishment ID (PF Code)
