  1. Applicants must visit the official website of FSSAI and fill the online form
  2. Applicants need to fill the Form-A (For business with the annual turnover less than 12 lakh)
  3. Go on the “online registration” on the official portal
  4. Click on “apply for registration”
  5. If applicants are not comfortable with online process they can choose offline registration process. Form-A is required to be filled and the required documents must be attached to submit the form successfully at Department of Food and Safety.
  6. If your online or offline FSSAI registration goes well with proper guidelines, documents and clear inspection, the department will grand the FSSAI registration and certificate will be issued.
  7. You can also download FSSAI certificate through the official portal with your login credentials.

Fees

FSSAI License fees can vary as per the application and type of license, for more details look below: -

1. Central FSSAI License (1 year)

  • New Application: - Rs 7500/-
  • Renewal Application: - Rs 7500/-
  • License/Certificate Modification: - Rs 7500/-
  • Duplicate Licence/Certificate: - 10% of the application license fee

2. State FSSAI License (1 year)

  • New Application: - Rs. 2000 to 7500/-
  • Renewal Application: - Rs. 2000 to 7500/-
  • License/Certificate Modification: - Rs. 2000 to 7500/-
  • Duplicate Licence/Certificate: - To be updated

3. Registration Fee (1 year)

  • New Application: - Rs. 100/-
  • Renewal Application: - Rs. 100/-
  • License/Certificate Modification: - Rs. 100/-
  • Duplicate Licence/Certificate: - 10% of the application certificate fee

4. Konkan/Indian Railway (1 year)

  • New Application: - Rs. 2000/-
  • Renewal Application: - Rs. 2000/-
  • License/Certificate Modification: - Rs. 2000/-
  • Duplicate Licence/Certificate: - 10% of the application certificate fee

Note: - You can apply for an FSSAI License for a maximum of 5 years not more given period.

Time

Time period for complete FSSAI registration and licensing can vary, as it depends on what type of license you are applying: -

  • For FSSAI registration it takes 7 to 10 working days (excluding Saturday and Sunday).
  • For a state FSSAI license, it takes 15 to 20 working days.
  • For a central FSSAI license, it takes 20 to 30 days.
